Second Suspect Charged as Investigation Deepens
A second man has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old filmmaking student Finbar Sullivan at Primrose Hill, in a case that has shocked London.
Khalid Abdulqadir, 18, from Camden, faces charges including grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder, and possession of a knife, following the attack which took place on the evening of April 7, 2026.
Another suspect, 27-year-old Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, has already been charged with murder, while additional individuals have also been charged or arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
The incident occurred at around 6:30–6:40 pm, during what witnesses described as a busy evening at the popular north London viewpoint.
According to prosecutors, Sullivan was approached and surrounded by a group of attackers before being punched and pushed to the ground.
He was then allegedly:
- Kicked and stamped on while on the floor
- Attacked by multiple individuals
- Stabbed at least twice
One of the wounds, reportedly to his thigh, proved fatal.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man in his 20s was also found nearby with stab injuries but survived with non-life-threatening wounds.
Prosecutors have described the incident as an “eruption of extreme violence”, with reports suggesting that as many as seven individuals may have been involved in the attack.
The nature of the assault—carried out in a public space, in front of witnesses—has intensified concerns about violent group incidents in London.
Police believe the attack was not random, though the exact motive has not yet been confirmed.
Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old student with aspirations in filmmaking, has been described by family and friends as “kind,” “creative,” and full of promise.
He had gone to Primrose Hill that evening to test a new camera he received for his birthday, according to his father.
His family says he hoped to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a professional cinematographer, and build a career in film.

Tributes have continued to pour in, with many expressing shock that such violence could occur in a well-known and usually peaceful location.
The case has rapidly developed into a complex investigation involving multiple suspects.
So far:
- One man has been charged with murder
- Two additional men have also been charged with murder
- Khalid Abdulqadir faces related but separate charges
- Others have been arrested and released or remain under investigation
All suspects have appeared or are due to appear in court, with further hearings scheduled in the coming weeks.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with footage from the scene to come forward.
The attack has raised fresh concerns about violent crime in public spaces, particularly in areas not typically associated with serious incidents.
Metropolitan Police say the investigation remains active and is working to establish the full sequence of events.
Officers have increased patrols in the area as part of efforts to reassure the public.
